We are looking for a sales assistant ideally with previous retail experience and flexibility with hours. Applicants should also be competent and comfortable using a computer and learning new software, have customer service experience and be able to work in a professional manner.

General duties of this role include:

  • regularly cleaning, tidying shelves and work areas
  • restocking and stock takes
  • processing, packing and taking online orders to the post office
  • responding to emails and answering customer queries
  • using the till and taking phone orders

Knitting in the shop is only permitted when all other tasks are complete; however, patterns and wool are chosen for you to knit shop samples.

To be considered for this position, please send a CV, cover letter your Ravelry username (if applicable) to alex@purlcityyarns.com by 6:00pm, 24th October 2014.

Like HRH The Prince of Wales, we’re proud to support The Campaign for Wool. Wool really is an amazing fibre: sustainable, warm, beautiful. Plus we have plenty of it on sale here at Purl City Yarns.

We’ve freshened up our brew station, all ready for anybody who wants a  cup of tea or coffee at our regular knit clubs.

Beautiful new shop sample knitted in Fyberspates Gleem Lace shade 703 Silver & Bronze.

Just love this ‘Fox Isle' hat sample in the shop right now.

Feeling a little chilly today, luckily this new arrival has lots of great patterns for keeping warm!
