A sneak peak of Jacky’s Lush cardigan, knitted in Fyberspates Vivacious DK (shade 811, Mixed Magentas). Because the pattern is in Handmade in the UK we chose buttons with the Royal coat of arms. Luckily we found enough matching ones hiding in our vintage button jars!
We have a selection of new Tin Can Knits single patterns in stock (only in our bricks and mortar and not online - sorry!), along with a few restocked for good measure. We can’t decide which is our favourite but we’ve narrowed it down!
We’re planning our next shop projects here at Purl City Yarns. A Color Affection shawl is a definite using light and bouncy Debbie Bliss Rialto Lace. But which colours? Here are some options we’re considering:
Summer picnic (top) These shades look so fresh together that they’re making us look forward to warm afternoons sitting in the park with cucumber sandwiches (and possible a glass of Pimms…). The bright green on the right (shade 29, leaf) is a new addition to the range for spring.
Parma violet (middle) A fun and feminine trio of pinks, but the bright pop of lavender (shade 23 in the centre) stops this option becoming too sugary sweet.
Nifty neutrals (bottom) Neutrals don’t have to be boring! These warm shades will make a shawl that will compliment many outfits - and skin tones. The darker brown at the right (shade 32, bark) is another new colour.
